This Halloween we had the pleasure of directing the Paisley Halloween Festival 2019.  Working with the Renfrewshire Council we provided entertainment on the theme of ‘Dark Circus’ including a parade featuring professional artists and local community groups. It was Paisley’s biggest ever Halloween Festival with people flocking to the town to see the amazing floats, circus performers and Mardi-Gras style parade.

The ¾ mile parade, led by our Svengali ringmaster, started near the Piazza Shopping Centre and ended at Coates Venue. It was brought to life by fantastic large-scale parade floats and 76 professional performers including LED drummers, fire performers, breathtaking aerial shows and more.

We worked with 358 community participants from groups across Paisley. These included local scouts and cubs, cheerleaders, carers, dance schools and choirs.  They attended parade craft workshops with some local artists and these groups and their work were then featured in the parade itself.  It was fantastic to get some community involvement and we received some lovely feedback from the event.

“Just wanted to say what a fantastic event yesterday was, the Twist and Hit athletes had an amazing day/night! Well done to you all on arranging such a massive event!” – Karen (Twist and Hit Parade)

“Everyone had an absolute ball!! We love being part of community events and if you’ll have us next year, we would love to do it again” Linda Craig

In total the event attendance was 41,000, with 12 programmes hours, 68 professional performers and 35 organised workshops. We thoroughly enjoyed working not only with local community participants, but also lots of Scottish companies. Thanks to all who helped make this not only happen but a huge success, we look forward to returning to work with you again soon!
