The place to be for spooky season is Paisley!

For the seventh year Cirque Bijou have curated the entertainment and parade for the infamous Paisley Halloween Festival in Scotland.

Over the course of the two nights the event saw a total of around 44,000 visitors to the town.

Children’s Books and Movies

The theme for the parade this year was Children’s Books and Movies. This meant we had a lot of scope to add plenty of fun characters to the parade. From stilt walking Cruella and Addams Family members to Tinkerbell in our LED light up dress. We pulled out all of the stops as always.

A favourite amongst the crowd was the appearance of Mary Poppins leading a group of dancers all holding our signature light up umbrellas.

Community Event

The Paisley Halloween Festival is at it’s heart a community event. Every year we work with lots of local organisations and community groups to bring together dance troupes and youth groups to be part of the parade.

In advance of the festival we run workshops where local children can make masks, banners and flags to hold during the parade. We also help run movement and dance workshops, and ask local groups to help out puppeteering some of the larger parade elements.

These events bring the community together and help the local residents feel included in the festivities.

Halloween is always such a fun and creative time of year we really love partnering with Renfrewshire council for this event.

Here is a brilliant little recap of the parade from a Youtube channel called Vision Capture 24/7:
