CIRCUS

SEE STAGE TIMETABLE

Cirque Bijou’s stage offers a diverse programme of circus, street theatre and variety performance, with world-class aerial, acrobatic and juggling performances, creative comedy, offbeat talent and plenty of chances to join in the fun.

Cirque Bijou’s own show Khoj will be shown for the first time in Bristol at the Harbour Festival. Created and produced in partnership with Nutkhut, and with support from Arts Council England, it is a new small scale show featuring circus, dance, narrative, live music and traditional Punjabi folk songs to tell a timeless story of hope and love.

The stage programme will be BSL interpreted.

FAMILY AREA

SEE FAMILY AREA PROGRAMME

From babies to teens to the still-young-at-heart, kids of all ages are invited to explore and discover Castle Park with Cirque Bijou this Harbour Festival.  There’ll be things to make and do, places to think and dream, singing, storytelling and dancing. Enter the baby race, learn some slacklining or have a go on the aerial trapeze – including an aerial rig adapted for wheelchair users.

A highlight of the Family Area is Caroline Bowditch’s The Adventures of Snigel, an inclusive performance that invites children up to 8 years of age to join in with Snigel the Snail, who loves bubbles.

The storytelling tent (12.00-16.00) will have BSL interpretation.

We are grateful for the support of Arts Council England.
