Job Vacancy - Project Co-ordinator 06/12/05

Project Co-ordinator required for the development of an exciting community arts project, to be delivered - July 2006.

Initial contact is for 7 months - 3 days a week, to be based in Bristol

Salary £15,000 - £16,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

Based in our Bristol office.

 

Person Specification

 

We are looking for a person who is highly organised and self motivated. We need someone who can prioritise their own workload, who pays attention to detail and who can work under pressure at busy times.

 

The main priority for the applicant is to support the Director in project managing the Railway Village Festival, part of the Brunel 200 celebrations, to be held in Swindon on July the 16th (tbc). Additional duties will include general office work, to include invoicing, taking enquiries, contracting and supporting other members of the team on Summer events.

 

The post requires an applicant who has experience of working in community arts, festivals and events. Computer skills are essential, word and Excel. Additional knowledge of Sage and Photoshop is helpful.

 

The role requires someone who is willing to learn the specifics of a unique and rewarding industry. There will be opportunities to learn about marketing, communications, event management, event production and fundraising.

 

Job Specification

 

This main role of the applicant will be to develop and co-ordinate the Railway Village Festival in Swindon, working with the local community, professional and amateur arts groups, and officers of the local borough council.

 

Main Duties

 

  • Working closely with local resident groups in Swindon
  • Developing a relationship with local arts groups, professional and amateur.
  • Programming the festival with support from  the Director, and Swindon Arts Officers
  • Liaising with health and safety officers.
  • Contracting suppliers
 
Additional Duties
 
  • Supporting the Administrator and Directors with general office duties, to include invoicing, marketing, contracting, taking enquiries.
  • Supporting other events and projects.
