Swindon Brunel 200 Festival

To mark the 200th birthday of Brunel in 2006, Cirque Bijou coordinated 'Crossing the Great Divide' Festival on 16th July in Swindon. Working with local community, creative and youth groups in the preceeding months, Cirque Bijou created a fantastic family event that celebrated local heritage and community spirit. On a brilliantly sunny day, the streets of the Railway Village were filled with performers and the public and the local park hosted a victorian recreation Children's Fete. A  special Creative Zone, celebrating Brunel's innovative and creative mind, allowed everyone attending to participate in a range of interactive Brunel themed activities.
