Muse 18/06/07

Cirque Bijou presented 2 amazing heliospheres, which flew through the audience at a concert by rock band Muse at Wembley Stadium on the 16th and 17th June.  The acrobats performed to Blackout from the Absolution album.  The show will move on to the Parc des Princes in Paris on the 23rd.

"The stage, sandwiched by giant screens, came to life during the superb Starlight, with a shower of sparks and massive, swivelling satellite dishes that trained spotlights on the audience.  But they topped that with a pair of acrobats attached to huge white balloons that drifted over the audience during Blackout. Over the elegiac Blackout, two white balloons either side of the stage floated into view, each with a dancer hanging off them, moving ballet-style to the song. Having wondered how the band would better the ending that Knights of Cydonia would have provided, this would have been as breathtaking as it was unexpected. Instead, a further four songs seemed anticlimactic by comparison." Times Online
