Looking for a Young Producer/ Arts Administrator 05/08/10

Cirque Bijou is looking for a new recruit!  We are delighted to have the support of the Future Jobs Fund.

In order to apply you need to be between 18 and 24 years old, have been claiming Job Seekers’ Allowance for between 6 months and a year.

Young Producer/ Arts Administrator

To assist our producers with all elements of production and planning in the delivery of our projects in 2010-11.

25 hours per week

26 weeks

To start ASAP (applications by 19 August)

Minimum wage

Based in Bristol

The role will include

- liaising with artists, commercial partners and producers, festival programmers and technical staff

- Advising artists both logistically and artistically

- Stage managing

- Diary keeping and scheduling

- Site visits and event planning

- Health and Safety provision and creation of risk assessments

- Budgeting

- Marketing

Experience required

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

- Excellent communication skills

- Interest and (or) experience in Arts environment
