Cirque Bijou created 'Circus Odyssey', an event that combined great circus performance with the opportunity for the audience to have a go themselves in workshop based sessions. Cirque Bijou also provided marketing and PR support in the lead up to the event. The event started at Luton's Library Theatre with a dazzling display of light swinging against a background of dynamic dance music. This was followed by an amazing performance of skill on the German Wheel. The action then moved to the hat Factory where the audience was split into two. One half went into the hat Factory theatre for a heart stopping aerial display on rope and tissu and a light club juggling act from the fantastic Gandinis. The other half went to try their hands at various circus skills in workshops – the groups then swapped over and then the activity culminated in a musical saw performance by the inimitable Dennis Teeth.

The hat Factory also asked Cirque Bijou to return to Luton to be part of their celebration of the launch of the Cultural Olympiad in August 2008.
