On Sunday night we mesmerised crowds of thousands with our High Wire finale show, bringing Bestival to a moment of perfect silence as our artists ascended the incline wires. The show consisted of world class wire walkers Chris Bullzini, Johanne Humblet and Jade Kindar Martin as well as aerialist and Hollywood stunt woman Karine Mauffrey, who performed together on two wires in perfect harmony. Beneath them a colourful current of LED Umbrella dancers ebbed and flowed as violinist Diana Yukawa glowed in her LED dress.

Upon Oberon’s Observatory the London Contemporary Voices Choir filled the sky with song as dust danced in the flood light, and Michael Fergie conducted the rhythm on his drum kit. For the pièce de résistance the lower wire ignited with flame and Jade Kindar Martin performed his unique and astounding Fire Wire act, walking and cycling a bike across the burning wire.

This finale show was in celebration of 250 years of circus, thank you so much to Bestival for choosing the perfect theme for 2018!
